We often get asked about international shipping and whilst we don't offer it directly ourselves, we will help customers by shipping to their freight forwarder. Often the freight forwarder is based in the Miami, FL area as these shipments are often going to the Caribbean.
The fixed frame panels are now always shipped in a custom, full wooden crate (with foam inside protecting the panels) similar to the photo below:
Recently we have helped a few customers in Mexico ship some Maxeon 415W-R solar panels and wanted to share a few details about Deko Marine Export. They are based in San Diego and for over 20 years have specialized in providing delivery of marine parts, supplies and yacht chandlery service to any place in Mexico.
Delivery to mainland México is about 10 days and to Baja is about one week. Cost is 26% of the value of the items plus freight from Tijuana to its destination. Baja is 19% plus freight.Â
If you would like more details about shipping solar panels to Mexico please reach out to Carlos at Deko Marine. Payment for shipping to San Diego will be via Sun Powered Yachts and then onward international shipping will be direct with Deko Marine.
