Cosmetic quality on SunPower flex panels
At Sun Powered Yachts we only ever supply the highest cosmetic quality SunPower flexible solar panels available. Whilst some installations might not worry about the small blemishes, eg on top of a refrigerated truck, we feel the solar panels on your boat or RV should be of the highest quality.
Here's more details on the three types of cosmetic quality:
Premium: Panels have minor blemishes and/or scratches, visible at <1m viewing distance
High: Panels have minor blemishes and/or scratches, visible at >1m viewing distance
Moderate: Panels have blemishes and/or scratches, visible at >1m viewing distance
Each solar panel is still flash tested at the end of the production line and rated according to its output. For example, this is why you see a 100W and 95W panel with the same dimensions, one just performed better when tested.
