Who is TCL SunPower Global?

After feeling like we just recently got to grips with who Maxeon is and who SunPower was, and is again, there's now another name in the mix to get used to: TCL SunPower Global.
TCL SunPower Global is the international solar division of the Chinese conglomerate TCL Group. It was formed to manage the sales and marketing of solar products globally (excluding USA & Canada). They will rely on the SunPower installer network, especially in Europe, the Middle East & Africa regions.
TCL SunPower Global has no ties to US-based SunPower and is completely independent
TCL SunPower Global brings two product brands to market:
SunPower: Offering integrated energy solutions and leveraging the established SunPower installer network (excluding USA & Canada)
TCL Solar: Providing a range of high-efficiency solar panels featuring technologies like TOPCon, shingled cell and IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact). Interestingly Complete Solaria soon after buying the SunPower assets in the bankruptcy sold the patents for its shingled solar modules to Maxeon, who's majority shareholder is now TCL Group!
TCL SunPower provides SunPower-branded solar energy solutions as well as TCL Solar products.
Summary
So in essence there are two companies trading with the well-established and storied SunPower name/brand/logo (SunPower is USA/Canada and TCL SunPower Global for the rest of the world) but they are completely separate entities. Also for us here in the USA we will only see Maxeon solar panels. It will be interesting to see if all three companies exhibit at the RE+ event in Las Vegas in 2026 or maybe just Maxeon and SunPower...
